Here at RTriad we have been hosting weekly calls, named Ninja Calls, where we have been teaching and encouraging people to learn Cloud Technology. We are cultivating an environment that grows Cloud Talent, we call it “Building a Cloud Army”!

In the course of our growth we decided to look at Apprenticeship as one pathway for people to make a transition to a Cloud career path. We know that this career path is not for everyone, but for those who choose it we wanted to make it a smoother transition. Having been in Cloud Computing for the last 8 years and having led readiness as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft’s field engineers I know full well how challenging it is to keep up with the pace of change reaching break-neck speeds. We found out that creating a registered apprenticeship program would take some time and effort to stand up, so in the interim we started an informal pre-apprentice program. The focus and goal of this program is to strengthen the relationship with our Ninja Call participants in hopes of them gaining a certification in Cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

In comes, Mr. Brian Tweedy to bring energy and enthusiasm to our Ninja groups. When we opened up to pre-apprenticeship Brian was the first applicant. He has since gone on to be the first pre-apprentice to achieve certification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals. Why don’t you listen to what Brian has to say about his experience thus far.
